e-plate is tamper proof and has an embedded RFID chip which cannot be seen or removed. It is self powered with a battery life of up to 10 years - in the majority of applications however a life of 3-6 years is the norm.

e-plate can be used securely with optional 128 bit encryption, incremental output shift to stop relay attacks and in-built anti collision softare.

For increased security, e-plate can be used with tamper proof backing units which make removal extremely difficult. If removal is achieved however, it is vital that the RFID chip breaks so that one vehicle cannot assume another vehicle's identity. This is achieved by manufacturing weaknesses into the plate at time of manufacture so that it is impossible for a working e-plate to be moved intentionally or otherwise.
